Karaky Printing Press (KPP) has been pioneering in the field of printing and design across the MENA region. Extending superior quality and unparalleled client servicing, the printing press continued to diversify and expand, to meet the growing demand.

Founded in 1979, KPP stems from a long lineage of design, printing and advertising expertise. Today, it is known widely across the region for its high quality products, within scope, optimized budgets and fast turnaround times.

The Karaky Printing Press is part of Nazeeh Karaky Est. for design, printing and advertising. It was founded by Mr. Nazeeh Karaky in 1979.

History

A house built in print,
decade by decade.

1979
A Beirut suburb

A small venture specializing in graphic design and calligraphy. Soon thereafter, the business expanded into pre-press — photo typesetting, layout, color separation, film and offset plate making, engraving and rubber clichés — and then into a department of offset and letterpress printing machines.

Neighboring Beirut

KPP opens its second branch — a fully equipped printing and binding center. Letterpress, two-color and four-color offset printing machines of varying sizes, saddle-stitching units, and a full line of perfect binding and finishing are installed.

Beirut Central District

A product-line extension brings a third branch into being — this one dedicated to packaging, equipped to produce cardboard packages, die-cut boxes and fancy paper bags.

All offerings are consolidated under one roof — a fully integrated design, printing and packaging company, executing every process in the same place. Investments in new machinery continue to this day, keeping KPP at the lead of the trade.

i.

Graphic Design

A full design studio running MAC and PC — concepting, art direction, typography, layout, and original artwork built for the press it'll run on.

ii.

Pre-press

Film and plate-making prepared to exacting standards — color separation, imposition, proofing — so that what leaves the studio prints exactly as intended.

iii.

Offset Printing

A complete offset department covering large- and small-format work, multi-color runs, recto-verso production, and letterpress.

iv.

Digital Printing

Short-run, on-demand and variable-data digital printing — for the work that calls for speed, low quantities, or personalized output without compromising finish.

v.

Post-press

Folding, gathering, sewing, saddle-stitching and perfect binding. The full finishing chain executed in-house, on schedule.

vi.

Lamination & Packaging

Cardboard, die-cut and fancy packaging produced end-to-end — laminated, cut, creased, and assembled in the same atelier as the print.

vii.

Silkscreen Printing

Specialty silkscreen for surfaces, substrates and effects that offset can't deliver — heavy ink lay-down, opaque whites, specialty inks on unusual materials.

Specialty Finishing

Hot stamping, foil, embossing, debossing, varnishing and PVC vinyl — the details that make the difference between a print job and a printed piece.

Production & Logistics

Project management, scheduling and delivery — keeping every job within scope, on budget, and within the timeframe agreed.
